I'm thinking about doing the spoiler on a new Mustang in that flat black color, but know nothing about it. All the "flat black" that I have seen on modern vehicles has just been a vinyl overlay.....

As far as taking care of it, I usually wax it as well. It's never really required anything extra or special.
Unfortunately, my dad had the hood clear coated on the blue Mach, and it's not right. It usually only bugs those who really know what it should look like.
Coincidently, I'm doing the same paint scheme on a 2005 Stang that I plan on buying. I think it'll be sweet.

Before...

After...(Yes, it's the same car.)

But now, since it was done, my dad got bored and decided we needed another one to work on. So he went and bought this one. It's not nearly as rough as the blue one, but it's just a plain fastback with a 302. (My sister in law decided it matched her hair or something, so she posed with it.)

Ahhh....... good times.

Oh well. I hate the front end anyway. Otherwise, it's a beautiful car.

IMO, the front sport lights really mess up the looks of the '70 grill. I like it much better without the extra lights, like this:

I use to prefer the '70 front end, but over time I've come to like the '69 better.

All the original E equipment is in there but the original Boss 302 + 4 speed were missing.
It now has an M code 351W and an FMX 3 speed that I will be swapping for an AOD soon.
It still has the original Drag Pak 9" rear with a 3.91 though.

Not to sound like an American Idiot, but I didn't know they had "real" houses over there in "real" neighborhoods? Every show I've ever seen that discussed housing in the UK showed pictures of very high density housing (usually flats) where if they got a 10' x 10' courtyard in the back they thought they had a lot of property!

FWIW, for awhile I had a slightly warmed over '70 351W with an FMX in my '67 fastback. When new, the car was dealer equipped with a 3.50 Detroit locker (8") rear. With that combo, it launched very well, and kickdowns into 2nd at 65 mph produced very good passing power. Got 20 mpg, also. The 351W was not as ferocious as my very hot LeMans cammed 289 with 4 speed top loader, but it was very nice driving motor/tranny combo, capable of mid to high 14 second quarters.

That's my neighbours house in the background and yes, we have real houses in real neighbourhoods
I have a 4 bedroom bungalow on half an acre. 2 bathrooms, garage, running water AND electricity
If you want to see pics of an Englishmans house, I will post some.

As I said earlier, whenever I think of residential housing the UK, all I have is this image of flats in more urban areas of the country, or at the very least, very high-density living conditions.
Here in the US, I can almost look at a picture of a house and tell you what part of the country it is located in. Just cruising this site, I'll always look at the pictures of a home in the background of a "truck shot" and try to guess where they live. More often than not, I am able to accurately identify the general area of the country where the poster lives using this method....
Tell you what. To save boring everybody else, send me your email address and I'll take some pics of my place and others around town to send you.
I live in a town that dates back to the early 1100's so we have some pretty interesting houses/buildings around here and even remnants of the Medieval town wall complete with watchtowers.
