Question Can you 'rip' a dvd like a cd?

I want to put some videos on my ZUNE, and I was wondering if you can 'rip' them like you do with cds? I tried, but couldn't make it work. Please understand that I just learned yesterday that you could rip a cd.(little slow on the tech-front).

Ummm, yes,.... and no...... doing so *can* be considered a violation of the copyright, and many DVDs prevent it by using copy-protection codes. However there are a number of programs that can work around this as well, allowing you to take a DVD and shrink the file to fit a standard media capacity for archival purposes. I'm not going to post them here because I'm sure the owners and operators of this site would not encourage illegal activity.

Yeah, I know about the crappy sig. It was made at work on the basic windows paint program. I only did it to **** off the chevy-lovers I work with! I have photoshop now and I plan on making a cool sig. About the color, It does look a little bit teal when the light hits it just right. Aspen green Rocks!!!
