Greenlight! May be back in the Ford family!

Well, I had been planning on buying a '51 Chevy 2-dr post from my Father to restore for my wife. She's been wanting it ever since she saw it... Well, he called the other day said he had a great opportunity to part with it, wanted to know if it was okay with us, since we couldn't do anything till after the house is built... She said it was okay, and he and I agreed to find her another.

Well, after talking about it this weekend she decided that she would be happy if I let her drive Belle to shows/etc, and I could get another older project car. Well, since I bought the Dodge I've been wanting to get the Camino drivetrain and suspension rebuilt (got an Eaton posi, 3.73 gears, big block lowering springs, and complete front end rebuilt kit including polygraphite bushings front/rear waiting to be installed), and interior back in. I want to make it a solid driver, so that once the house is built we can consider trading the truck for a 4-dr for the misses. Well, I had also decided to put a 5-spd in the Camino, which could end up being a lot of work since, clutch pedals for mid 70's A-bodies are hard to come by, and I'd probably have to fab up Camaro pedals...

Well, I've decided to keep the auto in the Camino, and build a 5-spd project... Well, Dad has an '89 Lincoln Mark VII that's basically a good donor car, and nothing more... So, I made him an offer last night, and he accepted... and I'll hopefully be picking up a new toy sometime shortly after the house is finished this summer/fall...

CLIFF NOTES

The wife and I had a long discussion this weekend, and she has agreed to help me build one of these once our house is built!

I'm thinking either black with shadow gray stripes, or shadow gray with silver stripes, and either way black deep dish bullit wheels...

any thoughts?

Sweet I have been kicking the idea of building one of those around in my head. If I do it will have an 03-04 Cobra drive train.

A neighbor bought one from Factory Five Racing and it is very nice. It has a 5.0L 302. His has the frame and everything built by them.

That's the kit we're looking at, and will probably go with. They call it the Mark III, and I'll be using mostly Mark VII drivetraing, so I figure I could call it the Mark X.

BTW, yes I know I have an awesome wife, and though her sisters are both a good catch, they are also both happily married, sorry...
