Meet Trixie

As many of you know my kids lost thier pomeranian dog Wednesday night.
Yesterday we went to the local humane society and they picked out Trixie. She is a Basset Hound,Dachshund Mix little blonde. The ysay she is about a year old but I think she is closer to 6-8 months old. She seems to already be house broke.

Pics from humane society...

I'll get some good pics of her later.

She looks sad in the pics, but she was just scared was unsure what was going on, she has been a ball of energy all morning.

That will probably be the best dog you'll ever own. The best dogs I've ever had were mixed breed. Being previously housebroken is a BIG plus. Looks like she's already hit it off with the kids.

Glad you got one from the pound. That is the only place that I get my pets from any more. So far 2 dogs and a cat. Not at the same time.

Wonderful pics a beautiful litle lady---and you rescued her, as well! Congratulations and the best of luck---from another dog owner. (I am not so sure whether I own them or they own me...)

Adopting from the pound is a great choice.

Yea we've always had better luck with mixed breeds. The Pom wasnt full, I never could figure out what he had in him. I'm not sure about either of these breeds never had a dog with either one in it. She is very loving and seems protective. Shes got a bark that commands attention, you cant ignore it.

When she wants something she wants it and lets you know. Not knowing if she was house broke we kept her in the pet carrier last night, wife was first one up this morning so she let her out and took her outside to potty, when she came in she ran back to my room jumped in bed and woke me up with a hug.

Kids stayed all night with thier aunt and uncle last night and she has been looking for them since they left. We have to go get them, then go to a birthday party before she gets to see them again.

Yea I'm not sure if we adopted her or if she adopted us....

It was hard going to the poind I wanted to take them all home. It was so sad.

So far so well, I think ti's a good match. I was hoping for a mid framed dog, but I let the kids have the final decision.

She looks so sad because she saw the gash in your door and thought...There's no way in hell I'm riding home with this guy... Looks good Matt! When is her first ride on the boat going to be?

Good luck with the new puppy. My dad has had a beagle and a beagle mix and both dogs were great. Loyal, obedient, and super smart. Good choice!
