You are 86% of a gun nut!
You have excellent skills in weapons handling. I could definetly trust you to cover my back. Matter of fact, you're probably packing right now!

There are a couple of questions that I was not sure about and had to guess at. Does anybody know the correct answers? I put an X next to the answer that I guessed.

How does the reloading mechanism in the M-16 function?I thought this question was kinda goofy myself. Yes, the M16 has a gas tube, and yes, it uses gas blow back to cycle the action. It doesn't have a "piston rod," designs like the M14 and AK47 use gas pistons. The proper terminology is "direct gas impingement."
Gas blow-back
Gas piston rod
Gas tube X

How many different individual parts are contained in a stock Glock?34 is correct.
8
20
34 X

How many states allow citizens to carry concealed handguns without needing a license?I'm not sure here either, I think I chose 2.
7
38
2 X

Which of these handguns may be carried through a metal detector without triggering the alarm?
Springfield XD
Glock 21
Kel-Tech P32 X
None of the above
None of the above; while all three of those weapons have polymer frames, the slides and barrels are most certainly steel and will set off any metal detector on the planet, not to mention that the ammunition in the magazine is metal.

The math does not seem to work out here, I went back and retook it and still got an 86%. I think that I may have put the right answer on the test and the wrong answer here in my original post. Or the test has a maximum correct percentage.

I scored a 62% percent, but I was just guessing. I don't know much about guns. I think I actually knew maybe one question. I'm pretty sure the M1 Garand holds 8 in a clip, but that's from playing Call of Duty.

I only "think" I knew 1 or 2 answers. I didn't see where it said what I got right or wrong, but still scored:

You are 44% of a gun nut!
You're probably either a seasonal hunter or someone with a decent head knowledge of guns. Keep working at it, and you could really be a force to be reckoned with!

I haven't hunted in about ten years... and then it was only 20GA and .22

I don't think those numbers are your "score" but the percentage of people who have taken the test that you know more than they do.

82% I am not big into the military stuff, don't even know what 2 of them are.

I know what I shoot, as far as competitions and guns for it and that is the bulk of it.

Me too but I got 51%. Just like high school, didn't even look at the questions but still managed to pass.

WhoopTeeF'ingdo. That doesn't make the test 'bogus', although I do not think it was very well written/worded. But that's another story. Think of that 'quiz' as a CLEP text for guns.

I dont think it expressed a knowledge of weoponary at all.
There are literally 1000's of various actions out there even in the last 50 years, many are variants off of 100's of patents 100 years old, but each works differently in some manner and many still are completely unique. I probably wouldn't pass an indepth test on those, because there are just to many....
