Fiesta bowl
I have been following Boise State all year as I have some relatives in the area and had spent time there back when I was living in Oregon. Watched several of their games and knew that they were a force to be reckoned with..
Loved the look on the faces of all the Sooner fans as they went down in defeat....Funny thing is that most of them thought that they would walk all over Boise State..
Most of Boise's players were classified as "misfits" that could not get into a major college...Gotta love the results..They played as a "team" and showed what can be accomplished..
Hell of a coach too !!!
Just another reason why there should be a playoff in college football....

I think Stoops should have taken the job coaching Jesus' team a couple of years back when he had the chance -- talk about a guy who has lost the 'bloom to his rose" over the last few seasons!
But hey -- the Minnesota job is open......

FYI
Boise State is a young team, most of those players are sophomores, and juniors you will see and hear more about BSU. Pokey Allen got this started and I expect it will only get better.

OU is made up of mostly soph. and fresh. We only had 11 seniors on the team, of which only a few started.
We have a good team and it is only going to get better.

Nothing could be further from the truth. According to the national media and everyone who knows college football, this was one of Stoops' best coaching jobs. To deal with such adversity as kicking your starting QB and OL off of the team during the summer, to the Oregon debacle, to losing the nations best RB. With all of this, he still managed to go 11-3*, a record that most teams in college football will never see. True we did lose to a good BSU team, but to say that Stoops is not a good coach is a joke!

Too bad that you don't even get the recognition for that national championship. All anyone talks about is USC winning it in 03.
Not saying he's not a good coach -- just that the sheen has wore off from him from a few years ago, when it seemed like he could do no wrong.
I would say the boys at Rutgers and Boise State have moved ahead of him on the "hot coaching prospect" flavor of the day....
