Need Help Asap!!

I am trying to remove the fender flares on my truck... and they have fasteners in them that are keeping them on... is the easiest way to just pull the damn things off and hope nothing brakes... lol... I have been at this for about an hour and a half... I know there will be holes left afterward but I don't want to break anything while removing them

any help is greatly appreciated

The first fasteneres i know i can find at a store... but the second fasteners that are attached to the fenders are the ones that are giving me my problem

What kind of fastener?

Is it something like this?

hmm... I dont know if they were the same, but mine, I had to squeeze the back side and push it through, so that when you install it, you just push and it snaps in place...

if it's like that, then you pop the center out, then the fastener easily pops out.
If it doesnt have a center then you just pop the fastener out.

They have these tools that help get behind it and pry.

But a plastic putty knife or wrap the tip of a straight screwdriver with masking tape will work too. Just be careful not to slip.

I just replaced my FX4 flares with Lariat flares just over a month ago. I was a little nervous for the first one ...OK, first i gingerly cut off the push in christmas tree type (there are 23 of them for all 4 flares). On the front flares there is a nut towards the front of the flare that you need to take off (mabye 2 of them for each front flare, i dont remember). After this stuff is off i pulled the flare away from the truck slowly by hand from one end. They are on there pretty good and you might even pop one of the push in fasteners.(The ones built onto the flare) . Dont get worried if this happens as you can put it back on the flare once it is removed. Your hands will take a beating removing the flares this way. Once i got one end loose, i pulled the flare gently until I saw the next fastener and (i have a plastic screwdriver looking tool) i had to push it in so that it comes out of the hole in the fender. Hard to explain but dont push it INTO the fender, just push the clip towards the center of the hole and it will pop out. This process works better if you have a 2nd person to hold the tension on the flare while you remove the fastener. Theres probably a tool for this whole process but it really isnt too hard just a PITA...
