I just saw on cnn that former president Gerald Ford died.

That is a shame. He was truly a gentleman in every sense of the word. He did the tough thing---and the right thing---in pardoning Nixon and allowing the country to move on and ahead.

He was one of the last---if the not the last---politician who understood the word, "integrity."

It truly was a shame--in doing what was absolutely the right thing---by pardoning Nixon, her possibly ruined his chances for election in the upcoming race; but he did always, thankfully, put the country's needs ahead of his own. He was a tremendous man.

I guess we'll have to see. I always hate to see the list of who's died within the past year, depressing yet a part of life.
