What is the best present that you received as a kid?

I think I was about ten or elelven---I received a big white plastic helicopter which had dual rotors and a winch. It would lift up all of my model tanks and such. I would build lincoln log forts and supply them with the chopper.

I got a Evel Knievil bike for Christmas in 1976. It was beautiful, had all the stars and stripes on a white frame. Man, I loved that bike. I was really shaken up when it got STOLEN!

A Crosman pellet rifle that looked sorta like an AR15. Got me started in shooting. I still have that rifle, but the finish is all worn off and the seals and such are leaking. I wish I could find like a rebuild kit for it.

I was 13 and the girl that babysat me when I was younger was 17. She gave me my most memorable Christmas present to date. God bless her.

The 2 best I remember. The first was when I was 12 (1967) I got my first rifle a .22 cal. bolt action 12 in the tube Remington.
I still have that rifle but my Dad's gone. It brings back good memories.
Aahh the second. 1959. It was this little red fire engine. The type you got in and peddled your a** off. It had these little ladders and hose's and you could hook the garden hose to it and I put out many a trash fire in the back yard ( that was when you could burn your trash and not worry about landfills) with the nozzle on it.

Green Machine, I can't remember how old I was when I got it. Also my brother and I got those gel filled Superman and the hulk figures. We stretched them through three room in our house before we busted them open to see what was inside, they didn't last long

I would have to say Atari 2600, Combat, Pac Man, Frogger, basketball with the square heads and ball. that was back in the early 80's the sad thing is I got the "new Atari" for Christmas this year, a plug-n-play version with Pole Postion, Mrs PacMan, Galaga and a few other I have never heard of, me and kids played it all day.

The other gift would be Mrs Claus coming in the bedroom on Christmas Eve afterwards a few were in order

I usually buy myself a present every year. Probably best one I bought myself was a yamaha 7.1 surround sound system. I did about 4 years ago get a Calcutta reel and St Croix rod for christmas from my granddaddy. He tricked me into thinking I was picking it out for him.
