That truly was one of the most enjoyable Eagles games I can remember. Dem stinkin Cowboys got their ***** handed to them (as predicted), and we don't have to give that overrated MacNabb any credit! Oh, what a holiday it was...

Man, that game was sickening, but expected. Philadelphia seems to have Dallas mentally punked.

Some teams just seem to have another team's number. Like Dallas always seems to have the Redskins number. Some teams just get up for others, especially when they are rivals.

There are two teams I will always hate, and that's the Redskins and the Eagles. Even if I had gone pro, and the Redskins had drafted me. I'd have played my heart out for them, but, I would've still hated them, deep down inside.

My dad played for the San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys, he wasn't a star, but, he was on the teams.

As for Matt, I'm cool with him, even though he'll remain on my "ignore" list.

I know Matt is Pro-Ford, and we'll never see eye to eye where cars & trucks are concerned, but- we did agree on other things, such as LG Washer & Dryers. Name calling is fine, but you gotta draw the line somewhere. I ignore him since I'm not close enough to drive over and kick his @$$. I knew he was capable of going there when he went there with the Mexican stereotyping.

What's most amazing is remembering I was "this close" to being banned and got called out publicly for my T & A threads. Yet, Matt slings "Nigs" and other racial epithets around, and not a (public) word is uttered. I guess there is a higher tolerance for some things.

 

I take bribes.

 

I guess what I don't understand is that Mattineer has a history here. He started off life as TritonXLT and got banned for slinging mud at RockPick. He came back immediately as TritonXLT01 or something like that, and slung more mud. He just went on creating more usernames, and somehow got back on here as the Mountaineer thing.

Now he slams Hersh with no regard for decency, and am I to understand that he has once again been allowed back to this board?

What people like 6T6 and those who are newer here may not know is Matt's history here. You guys need to know his WHOLE history here. It's not just this isolated incident. He has a pattern of losing his cool and showing his butt here. RP was extremely gracious (IMO) for even letting him set foot in here again after his last display of his true colors. While we all need to have thick skin here and there during REASONABLE heated dialogs, there is no excuse for this last event.

I'm all for forgiveness here, but there should also be consequences. While Hersh has ridden that fine line before as well, he's never crossed it. Mattineer has crossed a whole bar-code of lines several times. I agree with Hersh on this one. (It might be the first time I've agreed with him on anything. )

(If I'm mistaken here and Matt IS banned, please disregard the previous rant.)
