Yeah, I have the dvd also, but I still love to watch it on tv. My little girls are hooked on it. I've been watching it since it came out, and I still laugh at the same stuff. The narrating is the funniest part! Just a timeless classic. They have the Christmas Story gift cards at wal-mart now, I got my girls one. Flick? Flick who?

Why is that?
Why is it that we can have a movie on video in our DVD collection to watch anytime we wish, yet when it is broadcast, then we will set time out of our schedule to watch it when it is actually less convenient for us?

I never buy DVD's for that very reason. I will rarely grab a DVD out of my collection. There is not much that I want to re-watch anyway, except for the annual Christmas Story or other movies that seem to re-appear on tv very often.

The only reason I bought it was that I saw it, it was cheap, and I don't always get to see it on tv.(I work swing shifts) Plus, my kids like to take it on trips and watch it on the portable dvd. We watched at thankgiving, and about 40 times this month! It just never gets old for us! It's kind of like Star Wars. I could watch those movies everyday and not get tired of them. I plan to watch it 2 or 3 times tomorrow. I'm at work tonight, but I'm gonna cut it on while the kids open their gifts, and after I wake up. I sure hate that Christmas day has come so quickly. I love this season, I just wish it would last a little longer."He looks like a deranged easter bunny.":santa:

Well I think my wife would kill me if I brought that lamp home, but I know a brother that is going to get one next year!
So I think my sister-in-law is going to have a contract out on me about Dec. 26th 2007.
