LT, i send the mice your way! LOL
ps, it is not a laptop....old school desktop.
Haha, sorry man.
The round end is your typical old school PS2 mouse, the rectangle end is where the USB mouse plugs in to allow you to connect the USB mouse to the "regular" (PS2) mouse port and keep that one USB port you said you have free.
That run on sentence probably didn't help explain did it?

You should consider a USB port expander. This will give you more then one port to plug USB devices into. As far as I know, there is no other way to have a wireless mouse connect. (othere than maybe the PS2 port above!)
Worth a try.

in between wrapping a few presents, just for s*its and giggles i took off the ball on the mouse and noticed some lint and stuff stuck on the small wheels inside where the ball hits them.....cleaned up nicely, now smooth as glass again....! LOL saved 30 bucks for some mod money for the truck or bike! LOL
merry christmas everyone in case i don't get back on for a few days!

I'll always have optical from now on, no way I'd hassle with a ball mouse again for more than a few hours till I could get to the store to replace if something happens to my optical.... I am thinking about going wireless optical mouse and wireless keyboard....
That adapter should work or as mention a USB hub, you can get a 4 port hub for like $5 at wal mart and it takes your one port and makes it 4.... I theory I believe you can have a string of like 1000 USB Percival's on the same port. It's some crazy number like that.

USB works on a 8 bit addressing scheme, allowing only 127 devices on one port... like it matters
keeping in mind that they all share the same "480 Mbps"... assuming you can ever actually get that kind of bandwith. Since USB is a powered port, I wonder if you would have to get a powered hub (external from computer) to run a wireless xmitter, plus other stuff off of one physical port. Also, I've seen wireless mice get lag when running through a hub.
