Loking at the pics of those ramps, best I can remember, unless the ramp drops off severely under water, I'd probably have to back till the water line was about 1/2 up the side of the truck, but the back wheels would barely be deep in the water amd hope tha tthe ramp was long enough.
Especially if I buy the 42 foot cubby cabin I was looking at in arkansas yesterday....
Dont know where I'd beable to launch it or if I can even pull it..... Going back down next weekend to visit, I'll call the guy and get some more info and maybe stop and look at it again.

And my boat sits high on the trailer, so its gotta be in the water far too... almost to where my wheels are touching the water, but again it varys with the water levels. At the river where I normally launch, the ramp drops off, so it makes it easy when the water is up.
Yea I'm going to look at MODOT and ARDOT heigth restrictions and see what permits I'll need to get it home, and trade someone with a bigger truck for a day to get it home, then when it's ready, I'd put it in at Ozark and rent a dock to keep it at. I dont know if I want that expense or not.... I may just get it here, clean it up, and sell it this spring. Make it a later winter/early spring project.

I haven't with my little boat, but my buddy has, with a 23' cubby cabin, tandem axle trailer. His truck couldn't budge that trailer... We had to get into the water with 2 hi-jacks and 2x4's to get the wheels clear of the edge of the ramp.
Didn't help that it was outgoing tide, and going out about 8 kts...
I have... lake level was low.... trailer was empty so truck pulled it out, but it broke the center cross beam right above the axle. Litterally ripped the trailer in 2.

It took almost 45 minutes to get than dayum boat on that trailer in that current... No way was it coming back off...
HAHA
Last year I raced a bad storm back to the ramp. Everyone was battoning down thier hatches because it looked like a potential toronado, and I was just trying to get out of the freaking water..... Just as we got to the ramp the rain started, so that was a good sign, except it was almost horizontal rain... not so good.... It was probably 35 mph + winds with frequent 45 mph+ gust. At one point after numerous failed attempts I was almost on the trailer and got hit by a gust of side wind and ended up sitting sideways on the fenders..... The storm was getting worse I was tempted to pull it out like that and wait for the storm to pass, but did not know, highly doubted that the fenders would have supported it. By the time I finally got it on, the storm was almost over.

They don't use it for a public ramp, they dry slip all there boats and forklift them in and out. When I bought my current boat a Wellcraft Martinique 2400 I tried to launch it there and couldn't
So I just use the state park near me and I bought a liftime launch pass, there ramps are great.
Been there, done that...
You know what they say about boats... They're nothing but a hole in the water into which you throw your money.
Whatever, I love boating and fishing too much, and so do the kids... And you can't take the money with you when you die...

I've never been that far in, I'm only 2wd I probably wouldn't come back out, the bed would be floating..... I'd be scared to trim down to back off the trailer....
