Potential Darwin Award nominee . . .

(dzervit is gonna love this . . .)

Although it did not result in death, it's only a matter of time . . .

From the Lost Angeles Times:

"A woman going through security at Los Angeles International Airport put her month-old grandson into a plastic bin intended for carry-on items and slid it into an X-ray machine.

The early Saturday accident — bizarre but not unprecedented — caught airport workers by surprise . . . a screener watching the machine's monitor immediately noticed the outline of a baby and pulled the bin backward on the conveyor belt.

The infant was taken to Centinela Hospital, where doctors determined that he had not received a dangerous dose of radiation.

Officials, who declined to release the 56-year-old woman's name, said . . . she initially didn't want the baby transported to a hospital, but security officials called paramedics and insisted that the child be examined by a doctor . . . "

(I suspect this family is related to Matt.)

I am just amazed at the level of stupidity among the population. Not surprised, but I am amazed by it all. What's really frightening is that they are spawning.

These are the key words, kobi. There needs to be some kind of basic skills test in order to be allowed to have a child, period.

I work for a travel agency, just saw the article and sent it to the agents as a joke..."Warn our travelers not to do this".

I didn't think it through...some of our more astute agents have probably already passed on the warning...

What is more bizarre is the security line at LA must be busy 24/7.
At least 10 people must have seen what she was doing.

You just know there was a suit standing in line behind her with his briefcase laden bin bumping up against hers.

"Basic skills" isn't as important as an I.Q. test followed by a one year screening for common sense. If that were the case, I'd say it's a good guess that 85% of people would never be allowed to reproduce.

And to quote Martha Stewart . . . That's a good thing.

Is this a "Bin Laden" / TSA airport screening / security / war on the noun joke?

What I posted was excerpted. Much more of the article focused on panic among the airport adminstration/TSA adminstration et al., and how this will be investigated.

I didn't include that part of the story because, as anyone who has flown knows, the A-hole moronic retards who work security at the airports set a new low standard for intelligence and common sense (not to mention general hygiene).

Another example of ‘natural selection’ gone awry! Maybe they need to take her brain out and send it through the scanner.

Natural selection only works at the top of the gene pool. Those on the bottom do the best they can with what is left over.

That sentence has two R's, five A's, twelve O's, a U and five L's and I resent it!

Well, the problem is that the little kids are scared to go through the metal detectors by themselves, so the parents do the next best thing. Also, the kid could have taken a nasty spill before, how do you know the grandma wasn't checking her grandchild for any broken bones?
