Anyone live in Jax? Looking for some fun stuff to do around town after the Gator Bowl (may just head down to Daytona though).

I'm also looking for some good tickets as well if you know anyone with Gator Bowl tickets for sale...

 

I live here in town. If you're looking for somewhere to party after the game, about the only place you're going to find that is at the Landing in downtown. The Landing has numerous restaraunts and bars and clubs that overlook the St. Johns River. They might have other special events but I don't know. Just stay out of any area north or northwest of downtown. those are the bad, run down and dangerous areas.

I would say if you want to any sightseeing, then go to St. Augustine or down to Daytona(which is just over an hour south). Jacksonville doesn't have much to offer other than a nice skyline looking from the south toward the north toward downtown after dark.

 

thats an understatment...

landed in jacksonville @ midnight one saturday.. drove south on 95 untll we found a hotel/motel that had vacancy.. stayed at "the red rug inn...

what a dump..
we actually got a 10$ rebate because we stayed the night..the brand new t-bird rental stuck out like a sore thumb in the parknig lot..
i told mrs zap if it was still there in the am we will be lucky..

it was and we were..
