Help. Anyone know about HDTV?

I just bought a 56" HD DLP last night. When I hook up my DVD/surround player via component cables (red, blue, green for video) it leaves the picture a red tint on every DVD I have tried....anyone know how to correct this? The only other signal input i am able to try is my digital cable...from regular cables...works fine. Both HD inputs on the TV do this. Is it my dvd player, TV, cables? I bought Monster 800 cables, supposedly the best you can get. Any help?????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????

You need to go into the menu for the DVD player and switch the output to 'component video'. I just went through this a few months ago.
