PETA BEWARE...Show Me Your BUCKS!!!

Well second season shotgun started today in Iowa. Went to a nice public hunting place and dropped my dad and brother off one side where the deer seem to "escape" along a fence line and i went to the other side to sit. Started walking in and saw a buck 500 yards out on a terrace. I help up for a while knowing i couldnt get a shot at him with my Muzzleloader so i waited a bit and pushed. Sure enough by the time i found a great place to sit i heard "BAM"......Then i got a phone call. First thing i said...you got the buck didnt you?...."Yep, hes pretty big"...

I get over there and dad doesnt think its that big beings its his first buck hes shot, hence we've only been hunting deer the past 4 years and been taking big does.....weellll.......Took it to the taxidermist after i talked him into it and MANY compliments on the size and characteristics of this old buck. It will go down as an 11 point but its had 3 tines broke off from fighting. Scored unofficial just over 162. Weighed just over 200lbs. Pictures suck but you get the picture...

(dad, couldnt find his orange hat this morning LOL)

And me

Just another 4X4, pulled out of the Crow Creek Res in South Dakota...

Also weighed in over 200 after field dressing. Taking the final ride in the back of buddy Joe's 2/3 ton, 460 powered hunting truck.

edit:maybe it's a 3/4 ton truck...dang new contacts, keep my fingers from hitting the right keys...

Looks like I know where I'm going for dinner tonight... I've never been hunting, mainly cause it's really cold out and really early in the morning, and I don't wanna be there.

And OnBelay, I never knew Ford made a 2/3 ton truck...

WOW this thread got much shorter.

Well then, tell your dad congratulations, nice buck.

Zaairman,I was confused by that too, maybe the 2/3 is either a heavy 1/2 or light 3/4. Maybe a 1/2 with 3/4 axles or springs or any configuration of 1/2 and 3/4 suspension.

Tell your dad congrats, that's a nice buck! Isn't the B&C minimum 160?

Unfortunately I missed the deleted threads.
