I don't know what your outcome will be considering it's 4x2 against 4x4. All I can say is that my old '99 4x4 with 4.6 and would always get trounced by my friends '99 Chevy 4x4 with the 4.8. These were practically identical trucks, reg. cab short beds etc. Every once in a while I would have a chance when he broke traction and did nothing but spin, then I would pass by. Good luck!

 

Well, I'm hoping that my mods will recoup for my bigger tires. And the Chevy has 130K highway miles on it, so hopefully it has low gears for the highway mileage...

 

Haven't had a chance to race him yet, but, it'll be a good race.

 

My buddy has the same style truck. He has 33" Buckshots and dual Flows. I am stock except for dual Magnaflow. His is 4.8 mine is 5.4. He beat me by 1 length. I had some wheel spin off the line, so I might have been able to keep up or keep w/in 1/2 truck lengths.

 

Little update for ya... My Powerstroke with the Edge Juice with Attitude SMOKED his Chevy. He's got 3.73s too...
