Yea it's alot like uploading to MP3 player.....

ussually the cable comes with software... all are different worse case you just browse to the right directory on your phone, drop the file in and hit upload.

I have a memory card coming for my phone, ordered it and an extra battery and a signal booster that alltell rep suggest for like $40 off of www.cellphoneshop.net

That site was recomended for accessories by my carrier's rep...... My battery has been going dead after about 11 hours of stand by, I think it's because where I've been working there is no signal so it's been searching.....

Well, after farting with it for this long, I guess I'll have to wait to get the USB cable.

I go online to download the clip, but I cant find it on my phone.

I dunno...some folks are "computer stupid", I guess jamzwayne is "mobile phone stupid".

I'll hit you up next week Matt when I have a USB cable.

It has bluetooth, why not use that? If your PC doesnt have BT, just buy a bluetooth adapter for about $20-$30, and a ringtone editing program for $10. Then unlimited ringtones for free, plus you can make them any length you want.

His is a motorola... about the only program that works with them is Motorola Phone Tools (MPT) Cost $50....

I have Bitpim and MOBILedit! Neither one works with Bluetooth. Both are risky on a motorola phone.

Cool.

Here's the message I receive....

"Hells Bells - AC/DC
Myxertone
succesfully sent to your phone."
But where the hell did it go?

Are you using the OBEX file transfer system?

If you go to menu-multimedia-sounds, it should be there. If you are using OBEX, make sure you are dragging it to the "sounds" folder.

Also, what file format is it?

I'm using Widcom's BT driver stack, shows up as "my bluetooth places" just like network places. When synced, the phone shows up just like a networked drive. I cant say for sure if your V710 supports OBEX, I just know the L6 does.
