It's just a trend in America today. People pay attention to the
"train wreck" because it's more interesting than things that actually matter.

It's like watching a bird fly into a patio door, knock itself out, wake up and do it again. You go from laughing to pity and back to laughing. Eventually it breaks its neck.
One day Mattineer's screen name will go silent and someone will post a Darwin award winner. I won't know whether to laugh or cry but it will be unique that's for sure.
