Lariat vs FX4

I am looking to purchase a 2006 F150 super crew 4x4. Any thoughts on the FX4 vs the Lariat. I have found two that are vey similar in $, both have leather and similiar options.

Depends on personal preference. To the best of my knowledge an FX4 package consists of Rancho shocks and a few stickers. But, if they are similar in price, I'd probably go with the FX4. Just my 2 cents.

Quick call the 2004 and up gang, someone said FX4 v/s Lariat.

FX4 is a so called off road package with limited slip rearend, skid plates, shocks and special decals on the bed.

Lariat is the so called luxury truck with most things color keyed such as the fender flares. Most options on the fx4 or lariat can be had on either model.

It's really just what appeals to your eye.

I myself like the Lariat/King Ranch/FX4 all in one.

Just whatever looks better to YOU. I liked the looks of the interior on the FX4 better.

You can option out an FX4 with a lot of the stuff that's standard or optional on a Lariat now for '06+ trucks. EATC, heated seats, etc, all stuff that was Lariat specific in '04 and '05. This is called the "Luxury Package" on an FX4, and as far as I know, comes with most everything that's standard on a Lariat except for the trip computer - you still can't get that in an FX4.

Personally, I think FX4s look better, I like the color selection better, but I like the features/trim in Lariats.

X2...Something about the rims, stickers, and color matched bumpers make it look aggressive. But, still love the looks of a clean lariat. Interior i like the lariat better witht e wood grain.

FX4's look tougher then any trim lines.. it's meant to look that way

Lariats look like a luxery truck.

I'd probably get the FX4

But if I remember correctly, a certain Larryette driver wouldn't go up a little hill and said an XLT should do it an when the XLT driver chickened out, the ole' FX4 went for it
