Rejuvinate your ride: Pick One
[QUOTE=mountaineer02v8]
damn, if thats not ghetto, I don't know what is
Stunning insight from an inbred, hillbilly, sister-f**king, hick.
No harm intended.
Besides, that would only be "Ghetto" if the rims cost more than the vehicle they were mounted on, or they were on anything other than full size truck or SUV. You need to get out more Mountaineer. Have you noticed vehicles are available from the factory on 20's now, some with 22's. I think it's a sign of the times.
Not only that, but 2,000 watts is not that big of a deal... I knew guys (white guys) with 4,000 watts in a Mustang GT? What's that make them? Ghetto? White trash? Or a Inbred, sister loving, hick?

Hi Hersh

Hi Hersh

I'm on night shift tonight because my little man in in "I don't wanna sleep, Daddy" mode. I wouldn't be mad, but, I have to be at work in 7.5 hours, and I haven't been to sleep from yesterday... It's 12:29, he's bright-eyed & bushy-tailed, and I'm on 1/4 Impulse power- about to drop down tho thrusters, and eventually, station-keeping...
Crazed- Yeah, your ride would look sweet on 20's. In fact, if Chip Foose was to "Overhaul" your car, it'd be on at least 20's. But, when Chip got through with it, it'd be worth way more than what a set of 20's cost...
I mean the jokers that ride around in a $400 1994 Cutlass Ciera that the hood won't close on, yet they have $3,500.00 22" or 24" chromies & tires on it. It only becomes ghetto when one's priorities are twisted... Get the car fixed, then get the rims...
I see guys with 1986 Chevy Caprice Classics, and the wheels & tires are so big, you would damn-near need step rails to get in the car... That looks tacky to me. But if the car is done right, 20's look good on almost anything, it's when you move into the 22, 24, 26, 28, & 30's that things don't look as good on all vehicles.

)Yeah, no kidding. Once you upgrade to a real stereo, then you get into a car with the "premium" stereo sound, you realize that you've been really listening to a POS stereo.
I upgraded our 2001 SuperCrew, I had it up to about 600 watts, with four 3-way Pioneer door speakers (150 Watt max, 50 watt continuous) and two 12" Subs, with a 600 watt bridgeable amp.
The truck sounded much better just with new speakers, but with the amp helping out, it got much better. When I got back in my Expy (Which I thought had a decent stereo) I was like, "What a piece of s**t!"
This new truck sounds like a POS- I have the amp speakerbox and all fo that in my garage; never took it back to have it installed in teh new truck, so I'm still listening to the "Sub-Premium" stereo that came in the 2006 XLT SuperCrew, which is a POS compared to the 2001's speakers.
But, the factory speakers in the Fusion sound pretty damn good... Ford REALLY did the Fusion right, and it's about damn time they offered a nice car.

Sorry you're suffering a lack of sleep though, not much fun when you have to be up and working soon.

I am so glad I don't have kids at home anymore, I love my kids to death but I do not miss the all nighters, the diapers, the bottles, the temper tantrums, the potty training, the whining, the neighborhood bullies, the school work, the appetites, the designer clothes, the moody teens, the first licenses...did I leave anything out
Overhaulin for sure!! i dont want moniters on my dirtbike or a big screen tv coming out of my bed. I use my vehicle unlike those ghetto people that are on PMR. I think trick my truck is sick, you take someones truck that is his life and fix it up for him and make it more reliable. Good show, the guys are spodes but its a good show.
I'd love to be on "Trick My Truck," but seeing as how I don't own a Big Rig nor do I plan to (unless I win the lottery), my choice would be Overhaulin'. Hell, all I'd want is a new paint job and I'd be happier than a pig in sh*t. Not too sure if I'd be up for a crazy paint job, I like to keep my rides simple.
And I've only got 1000 watts in my truck
Can't quite afford to jump up to the 2000+ mark just yet. I think 3000 watts should be perfect for country music.

I admit, I've seen some stupid isht on PMR. Some really stupid isht (Popcorm maker, hair styling salon, monitors in the bumpers, the MOAS, bubbles from the exhaust pipe, etc..) But, I have also seen some STUNNING work, and that's what I'm talking about. That's why I believe PMR has done a lot of spectacular cars that had one foot in the grave.
When it comes to exteriors, to me- Foose is hard to beat. But, on interior custom work, I don't think Chip's team is in the same league. I've seen Foose do some good work on the interiors too, but I've seen West Coast Custom's work in magazines as well as their SEMA stuff- those boys are bad-*** too...
With regard to TMT, to see them do the first 2-3 rigs was absolutely stunning, but- after that, it's all the same. That's when you realize the only real difference is the theme, the paint job, and the location of the exhaust pipes.

(Believe me, about 8 months ago, I asked the same question.)

Id rather have no tunes than tunes from a crappy stereo.
Zaairman, I cant afford it either, but Im doing it anyway
I need to sell some of the stereo stuff I have scaterred througout my room.
Hey Bartak, shoot me a PM or email with whatever it is you're selling.... I want to tuck some subs way up under the bow of my boat, so if I can upgrade my current set up in my truck, then they'll go in the boat.
