a new truck?

Almost sold the lightning yesterday on a trade-in.

I offered the lightning $3,000.00 over wholesale on a black 07 xlt regular cab with the 5.4, automatic, with the heavy tow package. Two wheel drive and a thousand dollars in extra's from the dealer. The truck is at a dealer 800 miles away. The truck was listed for $31,000. Canadian. After the offer was accepted and the dealer in the next province was asked to ship it, we found out that it had $ 5,100 in dealer options, added. 22" wheels, lowered, custom exhaust and window tint.
At first I agreed but when I got home I called and cancled.
I built a truck on the ford's Canadian web page and got the same truck for almost $ 4,500 cheaper. WTF , I e-mailed the page to the sales man and told him that is what i want. I will find out in the next week if the deal will go through.

scumbag dealership, lets see if they can redeam themselves.

I'd guess you already know this but after owning a Lightning, just about everything else feels like a slow POS.

That is BS what the dealership is doing. I used to trust the one that I had been going to for years and had bought several vehicles from. I found out that they don't give a rats *** about me. It's quite a let down. I guess all dealerships are out for thier own self interests and will do anything to get you to spend your money with them.

Good luck finding a situation that suits you.

I have a similar set-up on my '05 -- XLT/Regular Cab/5.4 Engine/3.73 LS.... etc.

Just be forewarned -- it ain't no "Lightning" when it comes to acceleration!

I did have a reasonable amount of trust as this would have been the fifth f-150, from that dealer. The dealer is as good as the sales manager and the old one has left several years ago. So we see what happens tomorrow.
