Ha, Yeah boating, I can only wish. 1 degree temp and seven inches of snow on the ground. This is the time of year I wonder why I stay here. Time to be a snowbird! The warmer temp of the water in the river and the cold air temp makes it look like a sauna, steam and fog everywhere along the river,, Actually kind of pretty. But I don't own a boat any way, so I'm staying inside today posting my tiny little bits on this site just for something to do. For those of you that can enjoy boating now,,I envy you! Have fun

Nice pics whitecrystal.
These were taken a couple weeks back. The only things keeping folks out of the water are creatures like this little fellow under the tree.

closer:

While this one isn't all that big, it's momma is who I'm scared of. :o

Man, you could have had some nice boots if you'd have caught that one.

Yeah, but I'm not sure that I'd still have feet to put them on ......I fish barefooted.

Boating in the winter is the best. No jet skis flying by, No sail boats playing chicken with as you sit there just fishing.

No teens driving around in circles with their radios blaring.

There isnt even a line at the boat ramp.

You have the entire lake to your self.

Its just you and the fish.

If you bundle up real good, it isnt even that cold.

And if the fish arent biting, you can always break out the wake board for the kids.
