F150 owners discriminated by insurance agents
F150 owners discriminated by insurance agents
I just checked the stats from the Insurance Bureau of Canada.
It appears ALL F series 4X4's are lumped together when it comes to the Rating Groups that insurance agents use to set premiums.
Claims for 2005 over-all were up for F250's & F350's (4X4's) which made the Top 10 in all claims. So I can understand the premium increases.
F150's (4X4's) never made the list at all. As a matter of fact, the only time F150's are mentioned is in the Top 10 LOWEST Stolen and LOWEST Recompensated list.
Go figure.
Because of F250 & F350 stats, we, the F150 owners, are being discriminated against.
:santa:

I'm 57, no tickets, no claims
In '04 and '05 and '06 I paid $811 each year for $1M 3rd party liability, accident benefits, collision/upset, comprehensive.
This year, '07, I now pay $1004.
So with that said, my insurance on the F150 went up by $193, or almost 25%.
