If your guy can do the whole silver section of that door, it shou;d look decent, but getting it to match the next stripe might be challenging. That said, when I had to get a replacement bumper (another time for another story), the guys at the body shop did a spot on perfect match. Depending on the guy who does the job, you may be either extremely pleased or excessively pissed.

Sorry to hear about this (be more careful next time...) and Good luck with the repairs.

Yea I wondered that on the flake. I am the painter in this project, I worked as a painter in a body shop during school, was taught by a very good painter. Then started painting...... boat trailers of all things.... at a trailer manufacturer. lol

Worse case scenario, I have to paint from wheel well to wheel well of the silver. I am going to have to buy a pint anyway, I can probably redo the silver all the way around with it if I wanted.

The Deal is worked out, Friday I am taking it to him and he will tap the dents out and straighten it, then weld the gash and grind it smooth. Then saturday I will paint it.

yea yea, I don't think any of you guys out there will let me forget it for a while.
I know that I wouldn't if it was any one else........
Kinda glad we wasn't in your truck that day!
(BTW he drives a 2006)

Welcome to the site and hope you had a happy thanksgiving too.
I've been bellied up to the table since noon, ate non stop all day, just backed away to come home an hour or so ago. I am in soooo much pain right now... I am waaaay to fulll..... I hope my pants fit by Monday or I may have to just sit in the truck and let you do all the work.

On the way to Jeff city this morning I decided I'm putting some spot mirrors on each side this weekend too.

7am Monday, I think it looks like a fairly easy day, we may get a nap or two in! LOL
Look out for Wednesday/Thursday though. I think thats when the full enclosures begin.

Wow, nice gash.

Friend and I were in his F250 when a punk kid in his '68 camaro decided to pass on the right when we were just entering the right turn lane. Opened him like a can opener from front quarter all the way to rear quarter with the 250's front bumper...just a couple kicks and the bumper was back straight again, kid was almost crying about his recently restored '68.
