So you don't see the problem with a Ford CEO driving a Lexus? So you wouldn't have a problem with your tax dollars being spent on foreign supplies and services. You wouldn't mind your Governer driving a Lexus. You people in the construction trades wouldn't mind if a major city/state/government job was all done by workers and a company from another state. You Texans would have no problem of having the Dallas Cowboys move to another part of the state because it offers more. I guess we might as well let foreign countries build out military supplies, ships, aircraft, tanks etc.

It is sad when a company CEO doesn't back his product. I'm not saying to buy Ameican but you better back and use your product. Too many people get their satisfaction from others misfortunes. People would love to see UAW workers go under. Why because of the product they build or the jealousy of the money they make?

Do you think that Ford CEO cares about you? He like many others let the little people fight over the scraps.

And when your job is gone you'll be in the unemployment line looking for your handout.

Some people are impressed with them, some aren't. Apparently I'm just not sophisticated enough to appreciate the difference between my big purple truck and someone elses shiny object.

Besides that, if I was going to spend that kind of money, a car wouldn't even be on the list. Here's a hint, it has wings :P

I don't. Do they make people who work at Burger King take home Whoppers for supper every night?

So can you tell us why a UAW janitor makes more than a teacher in our schools? Does that makes sense to you?

So lets say you get paid $100,000 a year as a janitor would you say that's too much and give $85,000 back? Too many people are worried about what others make and would rather complain instead of bettering themselves.

The CEO should work for Lexus and put an F250 driver in his spot!

You know what they say, if you can't spot the arsehole in the room, it's probably you. Is it them acting as you say, or something that you innately lack within yourself that makes you see these things for Lexus owners? I suspect you'd feel the same for BMW, MB, and Jag owners...

Actually I would say that any company that pays it's janitor $100,000 a year probably is destined for bankruptcy. But then Ford isn't anywhere near bankruptcy yet, right?

And last time I checked, union members depended more on extortion and violence for pay raises than they do "bettering" themselves. Bettering yourself means going to school and aquiring more skills that employers are willing to pay for.

We saw what unions were about during the Titan situation in Des Moines.

They tried to "better" themselves by striking, and when that didn't work, they decided they had the right to attack people who were willing to work for what Titan was willing to pay.

Is that what you meant by bettering themselves?

Who says that just out of curiosity? Who exactly is "they"?

I have to ask because you obviously made some assumptions that you'd be very hard pressed to substantiate.

Hey, he asked the question, I just answered it.

But by union standards, to get a better car, you simply have to blockade the dealer and beat up any of his customers until they cave.

3) An '07 quasi-Lightning (GT500 motor/TREMEC TR6060.trans dropped into a shortbed F150)
Hey, when you're a top level exec, things like that can happen

4) If let loose w/ an expense account: 427 Cobra kit car.

FOUL !!!! Your telling us the GT500 is disqualified because it's cheaper?

And time is relative to speed, a Toyota lasts so long because they're so slow

Why settle for a cheap imitation when you can have the real thing?

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the Cobra remains the fastest American production car ever built is it not? I rode in my FILs a couple of times, scared the crap out of me.

Or hell, if you wan't exotic, what about a Pantera, guy in Ames has one, it's a wicked beast by any account.

I think he should have taken that Lexus, parked it in a engineering department meeting room and tell all his people: "Here's where we have to go to survive. Pick this car apart, study it, learn it. This is what our company needs."
