Buy a pie, help MaxFund animal shelter!
OK, as some might know I'm the volunteer coordinator at the MaxFund Animal Shelter in Denver (www.maxfund.org). We are Denvers only true no-kill shelter, which means we don't receive any type of government funding and rely only on donations and foundation grants and so forth.
We are always thinking of ways to raise a little money, and we've recently teamed up with Village Inn to sell some "Pie certificates". Essentially they are the same idea as a gift certificate, but they entitle you to a whole pie. The certificates can be sold anywhere in the United States and used at any Village Inn location, not just in Denver. They are good year round though if you are looking for a thanksgiving pie, you may need to reserve them at the specific Village Inn location. There are no "black out dates", you can use them anytime.
The certificates are $10 each, and good for one whole pie with few exceptions (some pies are way over the $10 amount and require additional $2 at the time of purchase, some are not included in the certificate deal, see bottom of post for more details). You can buy as many as you want or just one or whatever. I'm buying a bunch as stocking stuffers for folks as well as for some Thanksgiving pies!
If you are in the Denver area you can buy these certificates at the shelter at 1025 Galapago starting in a few days.
If you are outside of Denver but would like to buy some, you can either paypal me the funds (mattadams1980@yahoo.com) or you can also send me a check:
2424 9th Ave. #7304
Longmont, CO 80503
Please include a little extra for postage and paypal deductions if you wouldn't mind.
As an added incentive, I'm personally donating an additional $1 per pie sold to MaxFund. We are hoping to sell several hundred pies
.
These are the pies included, and information on whether they cost additional, or are not included at all. More pie info can be found at www.villageinn.com

For some reason I thought Village Inn was a nationwide chain because I'd seen them in so many states. Apparently they are only in about half of the states. So I guess if theres not one near you, this wont help much. Sorry!
