Break Torque
Break Torque
I know it sounds newbish but can someone tell me how to do a break torque?
Do you hold one foot on the break and hit the gas or is there something special to it?
I want to try one in an empty parking lot. I have an 03 Screw 4.6. Will that pull it off?
Thanks

Plant left foot firmly on the BRAKE pedal. Plant right foot firmly on the gas pedal. Push both pedals to the floor. Let the revs get up to about 2500 - 3000, and slowly let off the brake til the tires start to spin. Enjoy.

Ahh we're just ribbing you buddy. Sure go ahead and do it, its not like we all haven't! Don't just floor the gas while standing on the brake pedal though..you will break something. Hold the brake down pretty firmly and feather in the gas a little at a time but somewhat quickly so as not to heat the tranny too bad. As the truck starts to lurch a little slowly ease a little pressure off the brake pedal and they should start to spin. Let er rip for 4 or 5 seconds and then I'd quit unless you're not the one buying the tires.

Ahhhh, you mean power break or "burnout"...... I just turn my foot sideways and work the brake with my heel while working the gas with my toe................... But I often drive that way too especially when enjoying some spirited driving down a curvy road.
Now brake torque or "torquing up" is something totally different. That is where you build torque to launch really fast and dont slip the tires.

Here's how.
This one requires a special prop. I usally look for a parked Buss, busses are my favorite when they are full of people. You ease your front bumper up against the back bumper of the buss when you feel the tap of contact..... STOMP THE GASS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR. This works great as an icebreaker on the first date almost as well as showing that special date how fast your truck can go.
