One more reason to change your own oil
One more reason to change your own oil
I can't say that I've ever heard of this happening before, but I wasn't really surprised. How do quick lube places stay in business with morons like this working there?

x2.. the guy working threre was giving him the right signals, even tried to stop the guy like 2 seconds before falling in, all the guy did in the car was floor it..
its the guy driving the cars fault
Most the blame is the driver..... He should get fired and have to pay for damages.
But those were not proper nor clear hand signals, those were finger signals..... If I'd been driveing, and I wasn't sure if I could do it with that car, which is why I would have a spotter, then I would have gotten out and taught him how to spot and direct or gotten someone else to do it. Those directions will get someone hurt or killed... Glad no one was in the pit.

All of the times I've ever had my oil changed somewhere I park outside in a lane & they drive it in.

Im pretty sure when the guy guiding me starts waving back and forth for me to stop, I would have stopped.
Even if this driver some how couldnt identify the universal signal for stop and was some what confused, I dont think I would have given it a bunch of gas
I mean..seriously, look at how fast that car went in there. Can you imagine pulling into your own garage at that speed.
The only thing I can figure is that it must have been a manual transmission and the driver panicked and let out the clutch.

I researched this one on the news, first of all this actually happened much earlier inthe year, late spring. Second of all she tried to sue for the cost of a new car ($30,000), medical expences, lost time at work and pain & suffering (totalling another $50,000) and was declined due to the fact the employee was clearly waving her to stop and she declined. however, yes, it was a female driver. Apparently she tried to hit her brake but panicked and hit the gas more.

nice find!
50K would have been a lot to sue for since I do admit the worker tried to stop her.
why do people think a worker was driving the car?? no worker ever drives another persons car in, u do that, not them, so clearly it was a customer who did it.
