What would you have done?
What would you have done?
Well, every Friday just like clockwork, I head to the bank at lunchtime to deposit my sick *** check and get a little spending money for the weekend.
Today, I went through the drive through as always, got my money back and drove off. Opened the envelope and they gave me too much money. How much, I ain't gonna say, since that doesn't matter IMO. Back to the bank, I go to the service desk inside and tell the receptionist what went down. She calls out to the teller in the drive through (the drive through is in a building seperate off the from the main building) and talks to her for a bit. I gave 'em the money back and left. The guy behind me in line looked at me like I was stupid as I was walking away.
So, what would you have done? Kept it? Gave it back?

Good job Quintin. I would have done exactly the same thing. That poor teller is probably an idiot or was busy and stressed out but I'm sure she would have gotten some type of job "heat" when her drawer didnt balance that night. The world needs more honest people.

It would be my luck to have a check for $100,
Deposit $80 and get $20 in cash.
Drive away and find $80 in the envelope.
Go back, give them $60.
Feel good about it.
and then later discover $20 was deposited in my account.

I would have handed it back too.
This summer I went to the bank machine and there was a lady in front of me and she turned and walked away. I walked up to the machine and looked down and saw the bank machine was still active with her card inside and all her bank info on the screen. I quickly hit "cancel" grabbed her card and ran outside and handed her the bank card. She was sooo thankful and embarrased too. We both had a good laugh.
Made me feel good if anything. I don't believe in ripping people off.
