Anyone using the new Windows?

Any of you guys using Windows Vista yet? My Laptop is Vista capable but I don't wanna buy it if it's not all that good. What are your thoughts about it if you are using it?

It's still in BETA. If your not tech savvy then I wouldn't touch it.

If you are a techie, then go for it, its pretty cool.

Now with the free 2 week trial subscription to Vongo ( Looking at the available movies, I may go ahead and join after that. Have to wait and view them on the TV and see what quality they are.) 2 week free trial came with my laptop..... My DVD collection is going to triple in the next 2 weeks!!!! :santa:

I installed the 32 bit Beta (RC1) version on a PC I just built... there is alot to work out on it. Few drivers were compatible, pretty buggy and it is a MEMORY HOG!!! I would never consider installing it without at least 1 gig of ram, but preferable 2 or more. Pretty typical of windows though... each new version takes more and more system resources. All that said though, I think it will be a good OS once all the third parties get their software compatible with it.

At this point I won't touch it. At least not until other companies like Symantec and McAfee have had access to the inner core of code for a while so the can secure it. I consider security and Microsoft to be an oxymoron. It just doesn't happen. And considereing MS seems to not want the security companies the access they need, it may be a long time before I will try it.
