chris rock's mom planning to sue cracker barrel

she is planning to sue cracker barrel because she was seated and then ignored for half an hour. and she claims it was because she is black. I have heard this a time or two before.

I must be black, too. That's happened to me plenty of times. Where's my pot of gold?

When they're seriously busy, you can expect to wait 20-30 minutes to be waited on. Sometimes they completely forget you because if you've ever been in a fully-packed Cracker Barrel (no pun intended), you'd know what I'm talking about. It's happened to me more times than I can count.

Last time I went was with Zairman, parking lot was full and there was a tour bus that had just pulled up. Food took a little while to get, but we were served with menus, took our order and got us drinks in a timely manner. I thought anyway. I must be a whitey.......

Maybe its just me but every time Ive been there the service just stunk and the food is only eh. Was it race related? Dont care, bottom line is the wait wasn't worth it and I haven't been back since. Ive also had the same issue with Denny's as well...

Later,

Luis S

Can you imagine just for a second how hard blacks would laugh if a white person complained about getting poor service in a restaurant in any black neighborhood due to skin color? Please. They'd laugh themselves into cardiac arrest. Hate to say it folks, but I see more reverse racism than anything else these days. Oh well, life goes on.

Right on the money snappy. Shame it has to be that way. I have yet to encounter a situation where I can say I was descriminated against because of my race. Im fortunate about that. Then again if I ever did Id take my business elsewhere simple as that. Then again my peeps seem to be the majority here in miami. Sometimes people just want to stir crap up I think...

I love the ignorance that allows people to determine something like racism being the cause when that is CLEARLY the ONLY variable differing from her and any other customer, right?

I'm not saying it isn't possible, BUT for someone to be so sure of it being racism from ONE time having delayed service is just plain stupid. I've been forgotten for as much as 20 minutes before I finally got up and said something. I blame her for being dumb enough to wait 30 minutes.

Sue the naacp because they wont let you in!

That's discrimination based on race!

I know I'm pi**ing iin the wind here, but- it does happen folks...

It's happened to me, before, often, and recently...

PS: The dealership wasn't busy either- this was on this past Tuesday night.

In a coincidence of sheer irony, one of the guys who responded, noted "Cracker Barrell" for some reason. I've heard of Cracker Barrell, but have never been in one, and don't recall seeing one in the DFW area...

Years ago this was brought up about Denny's.

Busy or not, no customer shoudl be ignored for that amount of time... At least come by and say, "I apologize for the wait, we're super busy, we'll get to you as soon as we can..."

Maybe its not intentional neglect, but there have been many times I've been seated, and another family will be seated well after us, and have their food before we do...

I haven't sued yet, but- heck, if I can get my car paid off.... Hmmm...
