I still can't believe that there is a machine that was built for the sole purpose of firing cars off a cliff. I want one.

i know! man you could have fun with that-- pneumatic ram you think? when he said bluebird i thought it was gonna be an old school bus- as a kid, all the school busses we had were made by bluebird...

Gosh, I love Top Gear. I wish we got it in the US. I rummage through their website weekly for my fix. One of the show's host's, Richard Hammond, was just in a serious accident trying to run a jet-car at over 300 mph. He's still recovering.
The pnuematic ram was featured on one of their other shows where they played darts with cars. They fired cars off the cliff onto a giant dartboard painted on the floor below. To make things interesting they parked a camper in the middle. The ram is used in films for special effects. They mentioned it was used in the last James Bond movie, for example.
