Yeah Houston got hammered pretty bad the last couple of days. We had some of it too here in San Antonio but not that bad. When it comes to rain its either feast or famine in Texas!

We're all dried-out down here now!

I got stuck at my son's daycare for two hours yesterday. Had my in-laws Toyota Corolla to take him in and got in fine -- then the water started rising and I couldn't get the 'Yota back out on the highway.

Two hours in a daycare made me appreciate the hard work those girls go through everyday in taking care of our youngsters!

We were down to Sugar Land the past few days, got outta there just in time. Our daughter lives there, they did not have any problems. talked to our son last night, in Beaumont. His wife could not get home and her office is about 4 blocks from their home. They had a roof start leaking and lost a tree, but that was all. He grew up in West Texas and is about ready to vacate the coastal area. They cought it pretty bad from Rita.

You've got that right! My wife's a teacher here in Houston, and they just grimace everytime they get another student from NOLA!

Supposed "Straight-A" students from New Orleans can barely string together a coherent sentence -- nice work, NOLA ISD!
