Honestly.

I have to drive a solid hour one way to get to work every morning and the same solid hour home in the evening. I dont care how ugly it is, how much horsepower it has, what color it is, as long as that sum-bish is comfortable.

Talking How is the rear end?

We as F150 Owners need to know how the rear end looks, if the design is ok, then there is not problem because with Toyota's 375HP it's going to be the most visible side most of the time.

I honestly tried to give a Tacoma a test drive once. I no more than sat in the driver's seat before my back started cramping up. Now at 5'7" and 175lb I should be able to get comfortable in almost anything, not the Tacoma. I jumped right back out of that sucker and gave the keys back to a stunned salesman. My friend who is a die hard Toyota guy explained to me that his did the same thing but he got used to it after a while. After I laughed at him and called him several names all starting with either stupid or dumb, I tried to get him to explain why he bought a truck that wasn't even comfortable to sit in. His best answer was simply that it was a Toyota, and therefor that sitting position must be the best or else they would not have made it that way.

What are they doing with the faux grill-looking finish on the tailgate? Foreigners, heh.

Even if it's a manufactured crease in the tailgate, it's ugly still.

I absolutely agree with you on that…

For the others who think this truck is so ugly how is it much different then the current F150? The front of the new Toyota looks almost like the F250, the sides and rear doesn’t look much different then the current F150 with a little F250 mixed in. In other words it looks almost like a Ford.

As far as not buying a truck because it’s fast and only using it as a truck then the Toyota is still another option for you since it will do everything an F150 will do plus more. If people don’t want a Toyota that’s cool but just be honest rather then come up with all the excuse that really don’t have much logic to back them up.

This is great news for Ford truck owners as well because now there is a faster, can tow more, and has better quality and reliability truck on the market to get Ford off their butts to build a better truck to compete because many truck owners who want to spend their money “wisely” will be looking at this Toyota and many will buy it thus reducing Ford’s customer base. Hell, maybe Ford will even come up with a “customer service department” because of the new competition. Competition is GREAT because it results in better quality vehicles at lower prices for all us customers.

Anyway, the rear of the truck looks great and that’s all any of you really have to worry about...

Hasn't everyone learned by now that its completely useless to say ANYTHING other than a Ford is a good vehicle on this board. No matter how much better anything is, there will be the kool-aid drinking faithful who can't bring themselves to admit that a vehicle might, just maybe be superior to the F150 in some way. It's quite comical in fact.

Im sorry but no one is saying that Ford is the best. Most everyone who has posted in this thread has said sure it could have more horsepower, which you can't argue, but it still looks like CHIT! Im not going to buy a vehicle based on HP numbers otherwise I'd just get a golf cart with a 502 big block in it.

Looks are based on opinions, performance numbers are not. People buy vehicles based on more than just looks. Usually it is a combination of a few things: price, appearance, ride quality, brand loyalty, value and potential resale value, etc.

I am sure that not everyone will love the Toyota, but it is very nice that we all have a choice and that Toyota continues to set the bar high for the competition.

All that said, I think the Toyota is a decent looking truck and everyone I know that has owned a Toyota has bought a second one, and not because it was a piece of crap and was bought back from the manufacturer.
