What about the countless millions of other hippies who protested wars? They should be nominated too. I think I will protest against bad health insurance, and mayhaps I'll be nominated...

 

Whether you agree with her or not remember one thing. She's a Gold Star Mother. She's earned her freedom of speech. Without people like her son we wouldn't have those freedoms.

She's not speaking on behalf of her son. She's speaking on behalf of those that oppose the war.

Whether he chose to join the Army or not is irrelevant. And whether or not her son believed in the war is irrelevant. But our military is for protecting our freedoms and rights. All of them no matter what the cost. Whether you like some of the rights or not. Cindy has paid for that freedom that her son died for much more so than you or me. She is no traitor as people have referred to her. If you vote Democrat this November does it make you a traitor? Of course not. But next month many people will be voting Democrat because they oppose the Iraq war.

 

In addition, they may believe that terrorist attacks should be handled as law enforcement issues. So it's not untill we are attacked that it becomes an issue.

Voting democrat could bring an end to our involvement in Iraq, and send an invitation to terrorists around the world that they are welcome to bring their hate to our country. I think we have enough domestic hate, death and destruction. I'd rather not invite the terrorists in the mix.

Perhaps Sheehan is doing something historic. It's as possible that the Bush administration is doing something historic as well. Time may make events look different than they appear today.

I don't think that she should be given a Nobel Peace prize.

You think we already have enough hate, death and destruction in this country. I guess you don't think that we have created enough of hate, death and destruction in Iraq then. You're pretty much saying it's ok to continue killing innocent people as long as it doen't happen in this country.

If we bring hate to this country it is because we have created it. Do you really think GW can stop it? He's their number one recruiter.

Haven't we killed the 5000 insurgents that we claimed to have been there? Was it a miscount? Do you honestly think we are gonna defeat an enemy we can't see or detect? Do you think we are smarter than they are? As long as we are in Iraq it is not gonna get better.

Typical liberal..... has to accuse the military of being baby killers, a tactic that they've been using since the 60's. Probably will say "I support the troops, just not the war." But then comes out and says stuff like we kill tons of innocent people there, as if thats what we've been trying to do.

I won't deny that we've killed innocent people.... its a fact of war. Its happened in every war since the beginning of time. If you believe that we should be in a war if innocents will be killed, then logically we must assume that you'd believe that no war is just.

The difference here is we have accidentally killed innocent people in the waging of a war. We have not targeted them as have our enemy, its a pretty basic concept really.

 

First, people who do NOT support the war do NOT support the troops, there is no if, ands or buts about it, that is a FACT and can not be denied. It’s one way or the other as you can NOT support one and not the other.

Second, Sheehan is a complete disgrace and sick mother who should be bitched slapped for stomping and pissing all over her sons grave. Her son dies and she HATE’S him with a passion. She has been proving this every time she opens her goofy mouth to mouth off about things she has NO idea about as well as many other American’s who think we should just pull out of Iraq.

Third, Americans who think the war on terror, currently being fought in Iraq is the reason terrorist are angry with us, or more angry now, are Americans that have not been educated, can not think for themselves, and rely on others to think for them.

Forth, America is in NO WAY responsible for what happen on 911 PERIOD. Terrorist are 100% responsible for 911!!!!

Fifth, if we pull out of Iraq terrorist WILL come to America and kill thousands upon thousands of innocent Americans. There is no if, ands or butts about it, it is an undisputed fact for people who can actually think for themselves and are at all educated…

Sixth, if democrats take over and do as they continue to run their mouths about, then again, thousands upon thousands of innocent Americans will die while they let terrorist come on in to America and welcome them with open arms, perhaps they will have a parade for them as well to welcome them here for the slaughter.

So it’s really quite simple, rather you agree with President Bush or not here are the facts:

Bush = Saving innocent American life’s.

Democrats = So hungry for power they are willing to let innocent Americans die in order to get it.

Sheehan = Stomping on her own sons grave, pissing all over it and every other brave American willing to give their life to let this sick bitch run her mouth about things she has NO idea about. A strong democrat supporter, seeing some links now are we?

 

You make some good points. I'm not so sure you are going to convince anyone of anything though.

According to what the polls are saying people are more interested in trying to impeach Bush than fight the war on terror. They would rather fight the war on terror right here at home.

I haven't lost all hope. The media spin has a lot of people misinformed though and that will no dobt effect they way some vote. I have hope that there enough people who dig a little deeper to get more of the story. I do have hope but also believe that it may be time for us to be prepairing to fight the terrorists ourselves. They might end up in our neighborhoods sooner than we think.

It's my opinion that it's a sad day when people find in important to celebrate an anti war protester during wartime, more than they feel it important to protect us from future attacks.

 

My family has suffered losses from war. It has always affected my mother. But no one supports the troops more. My wife and I support the troops and we both despise the war. We want them home. But to say that not supporting the war is not supporting the troops is pretty mindless and selfish. Just plain dumb. Bush knows not a Damn thing about war. Bush has never lived it and either has his VP. They make momey on other peoples blood. They don't care about me and you. He is a disgrace and embarrassment to the world.

When you lose a son like Cindy has you can say as you please but it takes one cowardly SOB to say she pisses on her sons grave. You're rotten as hell and god help you ever lose a loved one in a war you don't believe in. One thing you can bet on is your hero of a president will never lose one as long as they have people like you brainwashed into thinking this Iraq war is gonna save the world.
