Driver Side Mirror

I'm replacing my drivers side mirror, and I would love to know how to take the door panel off so I can get to the mirror. Can anyone help me?

Year of the truck would be a nice start.

If it's the new generation (04-present) there is good information in the appropiately named "2004 to present" forum. Just do a search on the subject, several members have taken on this task.

Good luck.

It would be a powered mirror on a 2005 F150 Supercab.

Thumbs up

It's really straight forward. Basically, look along the bobtom of the door panels and remove those bolts/screw, and then use a flathead to pop open the hidden screws behind the handles and get those out. Then pull the door UP, and slightly out. I just leave the handle attached and slip it through the opening in the door panel. PUT A SOCK AROUND THE HANDLE to avoid getting it scuffed while it hangs there. Good luck!
