question about hooking DSL to two computers

I have a question for all of you computer gurus out there

My mother in law just got Bellsouth DSL for her computer. I have AOL on my computer. I want to run her DSL to my computer so I can just drop AOL. Her computer has Windows XP Home and mine has Windows 98. What would be the best way to do this and what would I need to get to do it.

Thanks

Go get yourself a Linksys Wireless-G router. Then, you'll need to get either an internal or external wireless networking card for both PC's. The router should be pretty much plug and play. Plug the cable coming from the DSL modem into the "uplink" port on your router. Then, install your wireless PCI cards in either PC, and the default network to join will be "linksys." For router management, such as passwords, etc.. the default password should be "admin."

Read this for details.

I had problems setting up my Linksys router, I'm sure it was just me, but in any case I went with a D-Link router and it was plug and play.

You live with your mother-in-law. You've got worse problems than trying to figure out how to hook up your computer.

The router is definitely the route to go, the XP client for 98 is buggy as hell if you try to set up a peer to peer and use one or the other as a gateway, at least in my experience through work.

I know, I know. Me and the wife just ran into a few problems and we had to move in with them. It is definately not what we wanted to do, but under the circumstances at the time we had to do what we needed to do.
