2003 bed extender help
Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this post, but I need a little help.
I bought a used bed extender online for my 2003 Supercrew a few months ago. I've been out of the loop for a while and still haven't found a way to receive it.
It is currently in the States, while I am overseas. I have an APO mailing address, and could also use the German mailing address where I live. My family has had trouble finding a way to ship it, and have been quoted $400 to ship it. The USPS says it's too large, but I'm not sure it's dimensions were clearly expressed to them when my family member inquired.
Can someone with a 2003 OEM extender give me the exact height, width, and depth measurements, along with an estimated weight? Should be pretty light.
Also, lots of you good people with lots of different occupations may be reading this and know of a reasonably priced way to get this thing shipped over to me. Any ideas? My family checked UPS and DHL and the prices were outrageous. I also think that when two people unfamiliar with something talk on the phone, the information may get skewed.......
Any ideas? I'm not currently in a location where I can make the phone calls necessary to get this done myself. Any help would be appreciated.
I've also emailed several dealerships throughout the U.S. trying to order the mounting hardware (torx pins, and bushings) but not a single dealership has answered an email. The online parts I have seen are not descriptive enough, so I don't know exactly what I'm ordering. Talking to a knowledgable ford dealer would help.

I can't help you with measurements or disassembly but I have a shipping suggestion. Have you considered one of the airlines freight offices? I don't know how many of the major airlines offer freight services but I know I've shipped things through Alaska Airlines before and they're generally much cheaper than the mail or UPS and the like. Plus they take larger items. I realize Alaska Airlines doesn't fly to Germany but maybe one of the others?
