Syrian Embassy/Thoughts and Prayers requested

Received an email from a USMC friend who is on Embassy Security at one of our posts in Canada after returning from the sandbox earlier this year. She received the following email.

After reading it, please give a positive thought and prayer for those who serve us by placing themselves in harm's way.

"Syrian Embassy Last Week

My friend, Cpl S---, was standing Post during the attack. This isn t surprising, but this is what he wrote:

Well...my story of the attack is quite interesting. I was sitting here on post last Tuesday working days (shift) when I started getting bombs thrown at my front door and car bombs ramming my backdoor while I was taking automatic fire. Soon, thereafter I had grenades lobbed on top of Post 1 (the booth where we stand post) where they blew up mine and my secretary's A/Cs. B-------. So I hit the react (button to call the Marines from the Marine house to the embassy for an emergency) and duck and cover alarm and took command (gave orders and reports on the current situation). . ."
