Know of a good website maker?

Does anyone know of a good, free webpage program or host? I'm just looking to make pretty basic websites, but the free ones like googlepages are too restrictive.

Thanks!

Frontpage Express is decent and free. In fact you may already have it on your system.

Worse case scenario do it in Word and save as HTML.

Use the tools available to you...saves time.

If you can't do it in notepad; it's too flashy.

Any web page can be written in notepad...I assume you are refering to flash or the like.

I can build tables, animations, and some obnoxious events in notepad. Heck javascript is just notepad as well.

Good we design is based on the developer not the tools.

I know you know this you just like being argumentative because you are bored again at work.

BTW did you ever get paid?

I learned that way, but that has been years ago.

My buddy who does my hosting has me hooked on CMS (Joomla, Mambo, ect.) it is even easier than HTML, Im all for ease, HTML is a lot of work. One little error and you are trying to find that bracket or where you forgot to slash, craziness...

If that is what you are used to though, more power to you, to each is own I reckon.
