Ahhhh! Foiled again Batman...

I love those steeltex ATs. Wearing like iron on the big diesel, and handle the snow around here like old school snow tires. Also ridin great on the '97, but only had em on for 6000miles. Hopefully they last just like diesel's are. Then last month the local store sayin he found 4 235-75-15s for me. I'll prolly put those on the '92 next year when the Michelin LTX ATs wear to near the limit after 75k.

Do you know why the steeltex went away? How do the transforces compare?

IIRC the Steeltex (or some sizes) was recalled on the newer Ford Trucks because of seperation (it would cause a lump in the tread of the tire), not a safety issue, but would cause a really bad vibration and harsh ride. The Transforce's seem to hold up good, last a long time if taken care of and ride good for a 10 ply tire.

Wild-mtn-rose, I love my little Zuk, and I cant wait to get it done. They are great little vehicles and can go almost anywhere. Put up a picture of yours if you dont mind, I would like to see it.

Northernnorm, I know that it doesnt matter how much is spent, but there is quite a large amount going into this project. I try not to think about it
