Day off, but I get 8 hours holiday pay anyway. I am on call though, but that'd be a min of 4 hours overtime even if I'm there for only 20 min.

I'm not "On Duty", but yeah, I'm working. Just finished a lunch break, but since 7am I have:
  • gassed and washed the spouse's car
  • gassed, washed, and vacuumed the F150
  • mowed the lawn and ran the weedeater around the fence
  • been to the store and bought 20 cases of bottled water for PGR functions this week
  • Put a new tarp on the cargo trailer, after loading 250 flags for PGR functions this week
  • Loaded the three coolers with bottled water, and added the last 150 other bottles of water to the back of the F15-
  • stopped at Home Cheepo and bought a new motion detector light for the side yard-anybody else ever get more than about 18 months out of the motion detector before it just stays on all night?
  • mounted and wired the new light

Now I get to go out to a buddy's farm and we're gonna cut firewood until supper time, then the two families will be having a barbecue for dinner.

Our local Patriot Guard has a funeral tomorrow morning, an escort of an Nat Guard unit that is mobilizing tomorrow after noon, an escort for a returning Nat Guard unit on Friday, and next Saturday is a parade that is a "Salute to Patriotism", and we're going to have two or three parents of Soldiers killed in Iraq riding with our unit.

I had class today, lucky me. Nothing like advanced accounting and auditing to get your Labor Day started off right.

I worked for 4 hours, got paid for the day, no doubt will take Friday off to make up for working today. I did get some inventory done, so it wasn't all bad.
