Anyone on here a Husker fan? or did anyone catch the game yesterday?

We've got a 1-AA school next week, sisters of the deaf or something, then off to the lion's den... USC... I hope they can hang in there with them!

I'm also a fan of Montana State!!!

 

Nebr alumnus and a huge Husker fan... That's the best I've seen them look in about 6 years. Zac is the man... Now if we can take out USC in 2 weeks that would be something. I think we'll take the North and who knows.. maybe the Big 12. It sure was fun watching them slice and dice LaTech...
RESTORE THE ORDER... How about CU getting beat by a Div 1AA school... pathetic..........

 

I don't think we are going to beat USC this year. USC is almost as good as Nebraska was in the mid-90s. I just want to see them compete, and be in a 4 quarter ball game.

 

I watched the Ark/USC game and this is no where near the offensive team they had last year. Without Bush and Leinart there is going to be a big drop off in big games. USC hasn't played a D like ours in quite awhile. I want to see how Booty responds to getting flattened a couple times by Moore and Cariker. I also like that USC isn't playing next week. They have 2 weeks off which I don't like after only playing one game. We have an offense that can play with anyone this year. Zac is as good if not better than Booty who's never played in a big game. I'm concerned about our DB's right now but everything else we match up fine with them. It will be interesting in any event. GBR

 

I don't think any team will be as good as the Huskers in the mid-90s. USC has a good defense still but their offense is not as strong. I was excited to see they have a bye this week and can't wait for the game.

As long as the Clones defense keeps playing like the keystone cops and the Huskers defense can stop Meyer, Blythe, Flynn and Hicks ..., very likely. But I don't see both happening at the same time this year.

Not likely at all, the South rules the B12.

Yeah I had to laugh when I heard about the clones' performance and they are supposed to be in contentiont for the BIG12 North???

 

Well, to be fair, Toledo is a team that has dominated it's own conference and has a very bad habit of upsetting top 25 teams. But on the other hand, when your defense blocks a kick and then runs from the ball like it has the plague, it tells you how very little experience they have.

On the other hand, it's very possible that ISU will take the North outright simply because it has the ability to put more points on the board than the opposing team. Meyer is definitely the best QB in the B12, no one can argue Blythes talent either. Hicks has to put up a monster number this year if he want's to play in the NFL so he's got to be motivated and with a decent control receiver like Flynn rounding out things, there are only two teams out there in the B12 whose defense concerns me, and no offense, but they aren't in the North division.

In reality, I see our defense pulling together and at least showing up for a game now and then when it matters, there's plenty of talent out there to overcome the inexperience when coupled with determination.

Now if we could just get rid of Pollard the pimp. That man will destroy everything Dan McCarney has accomplished.

 

Yeah everyone knows we could sit here and argue about this stuff for hours but I am just happy to see my Huskers get off to a good start and thought it was funny the clones went to triple overtime. Sorry if it sounded like I was talking bad about the Clones.

 

Hey say all you want about the Cyclones, I'm as realistic a fan as they come.

But that means never writing them off either. Just like Toledo, the Clones are a team that will bite you in the **** fast if you take them for granted.

Ask Iowa.

 

Any team can come at you hard if you take them for granted I never wanted to say anything bad about the Clones. Hope you guys have a good season but the Huskers offense and defense are pretty strong so I wouldn't talk bad about them. Look at last year 50 sacks! this year will be very similar with Carricker and Moore in the lineup still.

 

I believe that lesson was handed to my beloved Clones last year in no uncertain terms by Baylor

This really isn't going to be a good year for us. UNLV and UNI (who of course played in a championship match last year) could both pounce on our weak defense and come up with a win. Then of course we have Iowa looking for revenge in a new house with a running back that should be shredding respectable defenses at will this season, the team we play in Texas doesn't append it's name with A&M, Oklahomas gonna whip our butts right on down the plain and ...

Unless by some miracle of a chance the defense manages to grow up fast and forms something than can be viewed as a cohesive unit that at least can cough up a turnover now and keep it.

Obviously not playing Baylor this year can be viewed as a positive.

 

I believe that lesson was also learned by the Colorado Buffoonlows last week when the Vienna Gay Boys Choir handed them their behinds.
