Question Where did all the "CUSTOM" go?!

One thing I noticed about F150online is that I rarely, if ever, see any posts of people posting pictures of truly custom mods. Sure, lots of us buy pre-done stuff and add it...but hardly is that truly custom.

I remember reading what seemed like a new custom mod post every other day on the Ranger forums back when I had a Ranger.

So let's see those custom mods. Post pics, details, and get people motivated!

I guess that makes sense.

I just remember all the DIY "How-To's" for doing custom mods. But, since the Ranger is so dated I think it had to do with the fact that a lot of people had to add mods like OHC, auto-window up/down modules, and the like.

Plus, there were a lot of custom interior mods...but on the new F150 it would be bordering sac-religious to modify the interior lol

Custom body armor?
Damage which started it all...

Started putting angle iron all around the truck...front to back on both sides

The best piece is the 2.5" angle iron stock under each door panel. They've served as wonderful rockers

that's exactly what I'm talking about. Custom, genuine mods. Very cool.

Some guys back on the Ranger forums made very similar "sliders" for off-roading as well.

Cool mod

These days going custom is usually more expensive than just buying the same thing aftermarket. And as stated earlier you can get ANYTHING aftermarket these days.
