I have a Feeling...

...That a lot of us fathers would do the same.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - A lawyer climbed through a neighbor’s bedroom window and stabbed him to death after being told by a family member that the man had molested his 2-year-old daughter, authorities say.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14588572/

I'll be following this story as it progresses, to see what the judicial system does with this guy. Let's hope that if the charges against the neighbor prove true, that a certain measure of mercy be shown this father.

There, but for the grace of God go quite a few of us ( I suspect).

As far as im concern the lawyer did nothing wrong. I have no remorse for anyone who inflicts any kind of abuse on a child.

And if it's not true then he was just murdered in his bed.

I'm not saying a two year old could lie like a teenager but, what if the guys wife was setting him up?

Remember this guy?
He was on Bill O'Reilly being heralded as the People's Champion...until his foster daughter came clean.

...sorry about the link, seems they count the hits and some limit kicks off a 'Registration Screen'
Anyway the guys name was dave swafford and it occured in Lakewood Ranch Fl.
Bill O'Reilly had him on, let him tell his story and promised his full support.

A few months later, the daughter admitted lying.
(and then for some reason Bill didn't invite Dave back)

I never thought I could act irrationally toward someone just on someone elses word without finding out any hard evidence first, till my daughter was born. I would probably do the same thing, and if it wasnt true than that would take care of any thoughts he may or may not have had of doing it.

If anybody ever touched my kid.... It's backwoods justice!

I would take him or her to the nearest Oak Tree...

I hope they throw the book at him. You let the justice system take its course & if he doesn't end up in jail getting bent over in the shower then your allowed to stab him to death.

Screw the justice system. For example John Mark Carr, admitted to killing JonBenets Ramsey and he got let off?? If I was the dad I will be sitting with a sniper rifle waiting to blow his head off his shoulders with a hollow point 30-06. That guy is sick.

I'm curious, would any of you kids think before you act?

Let's assume that it's your kid and the guy is guilty. (Which is a pretty big assumption since you're taking the word of a child) Does the perpetrator deserve to die? You bet. So you kill him. Congratulations, but what does that do? Well, other than give youself a hard-on and an immense sense of vindication here's what you will have accomplished:

The way our justice system is set up, you're going to jail most likely. As a result you have now sentenced your wife and child to a life much more difficult than it ever would be if you had some impulse control. Your child is not only fatherless, they have the added burden of having a father who is deemed a murderer, so they now have that trauma on top of their trauma of being molested.

Your newfound felony convict status is going to make it harder for your wife to find work if she doesn't have a job already, and if she stays local, the talking behind her back is not going to help her get or keep her job. This will most likely result in your family taking a step or two down the class/status ladder. As a result, statistics show that your daughter will stand a greater chance of being a delinquent since she is being raised by a single parent with the other parent in jail. She will be more likely to drop out of school, more likely to use drugs, heck, might even end up being a prostitute. All because you needed retribution. So well done. Not only has your kid been molested, you just sentenced them to a fate much worse than if you had acted responsibly.

Don't believe there's a more responsible way of acting? Look at John Walsh.

There are many ways of getting justice and doing so in a way that are to your advantage.

By the way, all of the above is made even worse if the child is not telling the truth. Which, as has been demonstrated above, is certainly possible.

Still need to find that oak tree, it's being found this weekend I believe, and it's coming down next weekend.
