Hot tea, scotch & honey. Works for me every time. It's a home brewed Day/nightquil.

hot(spicy), usually chili spicy as i can stand it (you know, makes you sweat spicy) and then steam up the bathroom taking a bath shower usually helps clear things out for me.

Whiskey and honey, heat in microwave, drink, and cover up with a blanket for as long as you can stand it.

Also Orange juice and vitamin C pills.

Anything spicy always clears up my sinuses. Wasabi is the best, take a whiff of that and bam, no more sinus problems.

Colds are caused by viruses and there are no drugs FDA approved to cure the common cold. You can only treat the symptoms. Runny nose - antihistamine (Benadryl, Claritin, Allegra, etc.) Congestion - decongestant (pseudoephedrine, phenylephrine). Examples of combo products include Claritin-D, Allegra-D, etc.

Depending on where you live, you might have to ask the pharmacist for any product containing pseudoephedrine.

For sore throats, gargle with warm salt water and use Chloraseptic during the day.

Oscillococcinum. I first heard of it in 1997 and have taken it regularly since then. It's a homeopathic made by Boiron. It heads off a cold or flu about 50% of the time. You can find it in a health food store and you're supposed to take it at first onset of symptoms. It's 3 sugar like packs you put under your tongue. One every six hours. Over the years I've come to the conclusion that when it does work (again, 50% of the time for me) I've noticed that I run through the whole gamut of symptoms but never feel perfectly fine. It's really amazing stuff when it works. Give it a shot next time. If that doesn't work just keep your body in an alkaline state and the viruses won't be able to thrive or survive in your body. Viruses like acidic environments. Good luck and feel better.

Peace
