Another 2 wheeled toy

So after putzing around on the V-Star for a few weeks I decided it was time to move up...

2006 BMW R1200RT...

It's a little slice of riding heaven...

Well I only have 60 miles on the bike, I just picked it up the other day. I'm also waiting on my friggin' jacket to arrive so my road trips are not going to happen this weekend. It's a touring bike meant to go the distance. Hell, with a 7.1 gallon tank the bike's range is just north of 300 miles (plus a 1-gallon reserve). I cannot WAIT to take a trip up north with it. The bike gets rave reviews for its touring capabilities and comfort.

You should cross over into Ontario come across at Sarnia and do an over night trip. The leaves are starting to change here the fall air has arrived. Perfect riding weather.

It's a single-wall stainless steel exhaust, thus the color. What the hell does Greek mythology have to do with it?!

I'm glad you like it.
Remember to take a trip to Texas when you have it broke in. Hopefully, I'll have a bike by then.

ahhhhh... yeah that would make sense. Kinda reminds me of that commerical with the two old people in the car. He's driving like 5mph and the old hag says "Slow down, your driving like a bat out of Hades!". A TV classic.

I actually have to be a good boy with it and keep the engine under 4K RPMs for a while, then slowly break it in more. I love the smell of all the new parts burning in... ahhhhhh... and even with shifting in the 3.5-4K range it still hauls ****!

Hades was the ancient greeks ideal of hell.
That's why your buddies say that.

Nice bike!

I always liked the styling of the R1200C for a cruiser. Too bad its discontinued here.
