I thought Texas was filled with real men . . .

Evidently Fort Worth is filled with chicken$h1ts . . .

RadioShack Lays Off Employees Via E-Mail

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - RadioShack Corp. (RSH) followed through on its announced plans to cut about 400 jobs, but the electronics retailer has been forced on the defensive about its method of notifying laid-off employees by e-mail.

Employees at the Fort Worth headquarters received an e-mail Tuesday morning telling them they were being dismissed immediately.

"The work force reduction notification is currently in progress," the notice stated. "Unfortunately your position is one that has been eliminated."

Company officials had told employees in a series of meetings that layoff notices would be delivered electronically, spokeswoman Kay Jackson said. She said employees were invited to ask questions before Tuesday's notification on a company intranet site.

Management experts expressed surprise at RadioShack's use of electronic notification instead of face-to-face meetings with supervisors.

easy Kobi, I think you will find that the perpertrater of this act was allowed into Texas, not from Texas. More than likely, from California.

I'd expect behavior like that from CA. Actually, I'd expect behavior like that from just about any company these days (truth be told).

Edited to add: I'd correct spelling (perpertrater) but after reading Jamz post about how people who do such things must have nothing better to do and he'd like to trade places . . . well, I don't want do that, listening to retarded people asking retarded questions all day would drive me crazy.

At least his parents had a sense of humor.
I've had a Julian calendar on my desk for years.

I saw I had spelled it incorrectly and my mind just went blank. For the life of me, I could not figure out the correct spelling. After staring at it for a few seconds, it lost its importance (that happens at my age), so I said what the heck, Kobi may miss it, and I let it go

I hae seen that other companys have been doing their firing that way lately. Their excuse has been that email has become the standard way of comunication. Sounds like a cop out to me. However, if I am being fired, doesn't matter a whole lot to me, I am out of there either way.

I saw it too but, I knew kobi was already on board this thread.
Besides, there was a chance I'd blow the correction and then he'd get both of us.

I figured I'd just watch another Texan twist in the wind.
Just about any four sylable (or greater) word is going to be a challenge in a truck forum.
Do you ever watch Bush pronounce a four sylable word?
It's like the driver of an Egg truck going over a speed bump.
